Teatro De Artes De Juan Seguin sponsors the Ballet Folklórico De La Rosa. The Ballet Folklórico De La Rosa offers the opportunity to learn and study the art of Folklórico dance. Our dance academy reaches out to children, teen-agers, and adults giving them a unique opportunity to learn dance. Classes begin in September and are concluded the day of our annual recital which is held the first Friday of May. Registration for 2024-2025 will be held on Tuesday, August 6 and Wednesday, August 7 5:30pm-7:00pm at Teatro's Cultural Arts Center located at 921 W. New Braunfels St. Seguin, TX. There is a one time registration fee of $25 due upon registering and monthly tuition starts at $30 per month. Parents are in charge of purchasing student's dance shoes/boots and practice skirts for girls and bloomers. The Ballet Folklorico De La Rosa classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays and dancers are placed in their respective classes by the Co-Artistic Directors. Classes include:

Monday 5:30PM- 6:00 PM - Beginner I
Monday 6:00PM-6:30PM - Beginner II
Monday 6:30PM-7:30PM - Intermediate II
Monday 7:30PM-8:30PM - Advance I
Wednesday 5:30PM - 6:30PM - Advance II
Wednesday 6:30PM-7:30PM - Intermediate I
Wednesday 7:30PM-8:30PM - Intermediate III
Sunday 3:00PM-4:30PM - Adult Beginner/Intermediate
Sunday 4:30PM-6:00PM - Adult Advance

The Ballet Folklórico De La Rosa was formed in September 1982. The Ballet Folklórico De La Rosa started out as a small group which consisted of about 10 youngsters from the community. The Ballet has performed at many distinguished places as Chicago-DePaul University, the Texas Folklife Festival, the State Capitol, and many weddings, quinceañeras, city events, and parties. The Ballet Folklórico De La Rosa has now exploded to over 120 members who are all very dedicated.

The Ballet Folklórico De La Rosa is a family oriented organization and it takes everyone to make it a success. The vestuario the dancers wear are bought and made with fundraiser money in which parents/guardians are asked to participate in raising funds. Fundraisers help keep tuition and costumes very affordable. If you are interested in being part of this great organization, please feel free to contact us. Up to a 30 minute performance in Seguin, $250

Up to a 30 minute performance out of town (40 mile radius), $300

31 minutes to an hour in Seguin, $400

31 minutes to an hour out of town (40 mile radius), $450

Ballet Folklorico De La Rosa - Zacatecas - 3rd Place

It is with great pleasure that we announce that the Ballet Folklorico De La Rosa Zacatecas group under the Artistic Direction of Noel De La Cruz won 3rd place in the Non-Profit Jr. Small Group Division at the Festivales De Mexico Ballet Folklorico Competition held at La Villita Assembly Hall in San Antonio. Isabella Guerra accepted the trophy from Lorena Guerrero, one of the 10 Mexican judges that was invited to score the competition. Other students and parents that were there to celebrate for members of the Ballet Folklorico De La Rosa who were not able to stay until the midnight awards ceremony were: Erica Bennett, Olga Bennett (Parent), Bella Guerra, Linda Guerra (Parent & Board Member), Jerry Silva, Sulema Silva (Parent & Board President), Alphonso Rincon (Photographer), Beto Rincon (Co-Artistic Director & Program Coordinator), and Yvonne De La Rosa (Teatro Executive Director).

Teatro was very happy to support the Tamaulipas group from the Ballet Folklorico De La Rosa under the Artistic Direction of Beto Rincon, 3 soloists and 2 duets who also competed in the Festivales De Mexico competition. They all did wonderfully and have not only made Teatro proud but our community proud! It was with great joy to see the faces of our students and parents as they were able to experience a competition, get the chance to see other groups perform, to make new connections and lasting memories.
